The Amelia V. Gallucci-Cirio Library at Fitchburg State University is pleased to announce that it will be hosting the 2017 New England Library Instruction Group’s (NELIG) annual program on June 9, 2017.
The NELIG annual program brings together over 100 librarians from across the New England region to discuss the latest trends in library instruction. Program sessions highlight innovative and new techniques used in library classrooms to enhance students’ research skills. The theme for this year’s conference is Designing Your Instruction: Lessons, Programs, and Spaces.
The Amelia V. Gallucci-Cirio Library creates “an environment that fosters intellectual curiosity and the social, cultural and professional development of students, faculty and staff.” Hosting the annual NELIG program is a logical extension of this mission as it provides a forum for librarians to gather to discuss challenges and opportunities librarians face when providing library instruction.
