The library offers several workspace options for library patrons, including the information commons computing area, study rooms, and a media room.

The library’s 3rd and 4th floors are designated as quiet spaces. Additionally, the instruction lab room HA-101 is used as quiet computing space at certain times during the year (see availability).


Library Information Commons

Information Commons:

The central area of the first floor is the information commons and includes:

  • The Research Help Desk
  • An open computing area with 61 public computer stations
  • 3 multi-function printers
  • Active space study seating on the first and second floors 

Study Room

Study Rooms:

9 large study rooms containing a conference table, white board, media viewing equipment, Apple TV, and seating for up to 8 people.

8 small study rooms containing a conference table, computer, and whiteboard.


Media Room

Media Room:

The media room has seating for up to 7 people and has the following list of equipment:

  • Computer

  • Apple TV

  • Ceiling mounted projector/screen

  • DVD player

  • Document projector
