Thank you to everyone who was able to join us for the faculty panel discussion on open educational resources or OERs, and a special thanks to our faculty panelists: Dr. Jiang Yu, Dr. Peter Staab, Dr. Karen Keenan, and Dr. Laura Baker. All four provided invaluable information on incorporating OER materials into their courses, and how that has impacted both their students as well as their own teaching.
For those who were not able to attend you can view both the recording of the entire panel discussion, as well as a video that highlights the very real impact that the cost of textbooks has on our students, at the Library's OER guide: fitchburgstate.libguides.com/oer
Here are also the direct links to each video:
- #TextBookBroke: Fitchburg State University Student Voices (2:33 mins)
- #TEXTBOOKBROKE: A Discussion on OERs as a Solution to the Cost of Textbooks (56:29 mins)
