With the start of a new academic year, there is a good chance you might have some questions about the Library. Here are some answers to some frequently asked questions that you also might have. If you don't see your question answered below, please do not hesitate to reach out to us to ask your question.
Q: When is the Library Open?
A: During the Fall semester the Library's hours will generally be as follows:
- M-Th - 7:30am-11:30pm
- Friday - 7:30am-5pm
- Saturday - 12-5pm
- Sunday - 1-11:30pm

Q: Do I have to wear a mask in the Library?
A: Yes! A mask is required in all Library spaces including the Study Rooms.
Q: Where are quiet places for me to work?
A: The Library has 4 floors. The best floors for quiet study/work are the 3rd and 4th floors. The 1st floor is the most active, and is often the best space to do group work.
Q: Where are computers and printers located?
A: Most computers as well as printing (as well as copying, scanning, and FAX) are located on the 1st floor. There are a few computers in quieter spaces on the 2nd and 3rd floors. We also have laptops available at the Public Services Desk for check out.
Q: Where should I access online library resources?
A: Most of the Library's resources and services can be accessed through the Library's website, including search tools to find books and journals articles, as well as online help from a librarian, citation tools and research guides. Be sure to check out the the list of Quick Links that provide access to many services, such as Study Room reservations and interlibrary loan.
Q: How do I reserve a study room?
A: The Library has 17 study rooms that can be reserved. Most study rooms have a computer, as well as a white board. To reserve a room either go to the Public Services Desk (closest to the entrance) or click the Book a Study Room Quick Link.
Q: Where do I find A Book on reserve for my class?
A: If your professor placed the course text "on reserve" it is located in one of two places:
- Hard Copy - located at the Public Services Desk
- Digital - accessed online

Q: How do I get help from the Library?
A: You can get help from a librarian a number of different ways:
- Walk up help is availble most at the Research Help Desk (1st floor)
- 24/7 Online Chat - use the chat box on the Library website homepage
- Schedule a Research Appointment with a Librarian - click the "Meet with a Librarian" link under the chat box on the homepage
