This exhibit highlights the work of the Chair City Community Workshop which creates hand-printed and bound books using old fashioned bookmaking methods. The books are based on first-hand accounts from former Nichols & Stone furniture workers.

View photographs taken by Ben Savoie during the finals months before Nichols & Stone closed its doors.  Nichol & Stone chairs are on display. Read the stories of employees who worked at Nichols & Stone.  Learn about the process used to typeset and print hand-bound books. This exhibit is located in the Archives and 1st floor of the Library.
