Join us for the 2nd Annual Edible Book Festival

What is the Edible Book Festival? Started in 1999 by book artist, Judith A. Hoffberg, the Edible Book Festival is held annually on or around April 1st . To celebrate this event, individuals or groups are invited to submit edible creations based on the written word – a poem,  short story, book, or graphic novel.  Learn more at https://fitchburgstate.libguides.com/EdibleBookFestival. 

Ground Rules:

1.All Fitchburg State faculty, staff and students are welcome to submit an entry.  You can submit an entry as an individual or as a team.

2.Entries must be made from mostly edible materials.

3.Entries should be able to hold their shape for approximately 2 hours during the viewing and voting.  (i.e. creating something with ice cream may not be your best bet).

Schedule of Events

1-2PM – Public viewing and voting (you can stop by anytime during this hour to view the entries and vote for your favorite one)

2:10PM – Winner of best in show is announced

2:10-3PM – Snack on the books

Don’t want to submit an entry?  Stop by anyway and vote for your favorite creation. 

Prizes: $50 gift certficate to the Bookstore for

  • fan favorite
  • best literary interpretation.
