The library has computers, printers, wireless networks, and other technologies available for patron use.
Tech Lending Library:
The library has a variety of equipment and technologies for check out at the Circulation Desk. These include laptops, internet hotspots, video cameras, phone and laptop chargers and so much more. Visit the Tech Lending Library to see what is available.
Computers:
The majority of the library’s computers are located on the first floor, either in the open area or in the 35-desk computer lab. These computers are equipped with Microsoft Office and connected to the internet. Some first floor computers are equipped with DVD players.
The main floor computers are “zero clients” which means that they do not have hard drives. Patrons needing to save their work can save it to their student account on the J: drive (FSU students only), or an online site such as Google drive, email it to themselves, or save to a thumb drive.
The library also has one desktop computer on each of the second, third, and fourth floors.
For information about logging in to the computers, click here.
Printing, Scanning, Copying, and Faxing:
The library has multi-function devices that provide printing, copying, scanning and faxing services. All patrons are charged for these services. Enrolled students receive a printing allotment of $20.00 per semester on their OneCards to cover these costs. Non-student users will need to purchase a OneCard loaded with sufficient funds to cover the cost of the print job. This can be done on the ground floor of the Hammond building.
Printing costs:
- B&W: $0.05/pg
- Color: $0.20/pg
- Scan in color: $0.05/pg
Students wishing to print from their devices can find instructions here: https://www.fitchburgstate.edu/offices-services-directory/technology/studentprinting/

Public unsecured internet access is available only from the first and second floors.
